Pack 565 Families,
We’re looking for someone to head up Summer Cub Day Camp activities. There is a week in June (Monday to Friday, June 15-19) where boys can be dropped off for the day at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Marietta, and have a bunch of fun outdoors.
We need someone to organize volunteers for Pack 565 and help plan the activities. Requirements:
1. You need to be available for the kickoff meeting Thursday, February 26th at 6:30pm (142 S Park Square Marietta, GA 30060 on Marietta Square above Antiques on the square, BP Sports and Sweet Treats).
2. There may be occasional meetings leading up to the summer week (I’m thinking a couple?).
3. There will probably be setup on Saturday, June 13 during the day.
4. You will be the point person for registering boys and collecting paperwork.
5. You will organize the other parent volunteers from Pack 565. When I did this a couple years ago, I had mercy on the families where both parents worked. This meant that if a boy was signed up where one parent didn’t work, we needed that parent to volunteer for at least a couple days during the week. This is fun stuff, though. See the attached flyer for the theme this year – CSI – whooooh.
Please help out. Anyone can do this (it’s not a big challenge and the time commitment is reasonable) and it is rewarding. If you have any specific questions, there are contacts on the attached flyer. You will be doing a great deed for other Pack 565 families and other Cub Scout families throughout the Foothills District.
