Pack 565 Fishing Derby

Pack 565 Families,

Our fishing derby was a rousing success by all accounts.  The fish were really willing to cooperate with us this year.  The little bit of rain and overcast seemed to entice the fish.

Those who weren't able to catch a fish, caught other things like turtles, worms, sticks, duck feathers, and other lines.  As a matter of fact, Stephanie Goodly caught a record breaking stick.  It was too big for the Marietta Parks official tape.  Most of us caught fish, though!  Adam Burke caught some fish, but he was more proud of the enormous worm he pulled out of the bait container.  I think Bryce Barnhill was the Pack 565 quantity champ with over 7 fish caught, some very big.  I heard that Sean Appel was the Pack 565 size champ; he caught the biggest fish at over 16 inches!  Correct me if I'm wrong with a "reply-all".  We can do some fish trash-talking here.

Cindy took some great pictures.  Click the link below.  They prove that Pack 565 has some pretty awesome fisherman!

Thanks too, Cindy, for providing the worms.  They were pretty tasty (not to me, of course).

See you at our next event on July 8th (outdoor laser tag!).  Your Dens may be planning something, too, so keep in touch.

Carl
