Pack Families, Well we had a doozy of a time tonight. The new meeting hall at Eastminster Presbyterian is an awesome venue and it saved our bacon tonight. After we got done with our advancements, awards, and graduation ceremony, we were able to make use of the cavernous space for an impromptu game of dry cannon sponge dodge balls. We needed the hall because of thunder storms passing through. It will be some time before the noise reaches that level in the new building again. On the way out, there were some boys who were disappointed that they didn't get to use their swimsuits, so they commandeered Jeter's pickup truck for some mobile cold-tubbin'. I want to give one more big thank you to our outgoing stalwarts, David White and Cindy Moran. You were the ones who really made our Pack go. We have a tough legacy to live up to. We will really miss your leadership and HARD WORK! David and Cindy will still be around for most of the next year, and it's a good thing, because we'll need their advice and counsel. We're looking forward to some fun times with our summer activities. Here are the dates: June 14, 2008 (Saturday) — Fishing Derby at Laurel Park July 8, 2008 (Tuesday evening) — Outdoor Laser Tag July 22, 2008 (Tuesday) — Bowling Night September 2, 2008 (Tuesday) — Raingutter Regatta (our first Pack meeting of the new school year) Bring your son's friends. We'll get them into Cub Scouts, too. More details will follow. See you soon, Carl |
