Inclusion for our Families
As many of you know, Liam Agans, one of our Wolves, has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He recently began using a wheelchair part of the time. It may confuse some of your kids to see a child in a wheelchair and then later see the child walking and participating in our activities. The BrainPop video below has been shown at Eastvalley & will be helpful in answering any questions your kids have.
Click here to watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fD1PV0EAJ0A
If you have any questions about how to ensure Liam is able to participate in an activity that you plan, please email Liam's mom Gretchen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Blue & Gold
Saturday, February 27, at 5:30 at Eastminster Church.
Volunteers needed: If you can help set up or clean up, please email email@example.com.
Sunday, February 28, Eastminster Presbyterian
Scouts and their families are invited to attend worship at Eastminster. The 9 am service is in the gym and the 11:15 am service is in the sanctuary. Let's attend the 11:15 am service in sanctuary as a Pack. It is a great opportunity to show the church what a great program Pack 565 has and our appreciation for Eastminster's support. Wear class A uniforms.
Free Bowling for Scouts
AMF Marietta Lanes will be hosting a free bowling day for scouts on Sunday, February 7th from 3pm – 5pm. Bowling and shoes are free. Parents are welcome to bowl for free too. If you would like to reserve lanes, send an email to Warren Smith, Area Manager, The AMF Bowling Co., at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Cyber Chip Award
Today's youth are spending more time than ever using digital media for education, research, socializing, and fun. To help families and volunteers keep youth safe while online, the Boy Scouts of America introduces the Cyber Chip.
In developing this exciting new tool, the BSA teamed up with content expert NetSmartz®, part of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children® and training expert for many law enforcement agencies. Netsmartz® has created a Scouting portal showcasing Cyber Chip resources, including grade-specific videos, for each level. Check it out here,http://www.netsmartz.org/scouting.
Complete the online exercises for your grade level. Topics include cyberbullying, cell phone use, texting, blogging, gaming, and identity theft. Each Scout is required to complete Cyber Chip for rank. We will distribute the Cyber Chip Card (blue card) at Pinewood Derby. Sign and date cards when you have read the pledge. Talk to your Den Leader about completing the Cyber Chip Award.
